Hi, I'm Mackenzie
I learned to sew in 2020 making accessories for my pets, then found punch needle, plastic canvas and crochet, and fell in love with making bags people actually carry. Today I design beginner-friendly plastic canvas bag kits and patterns from my studio in Columbia, SC. Every DIY bag kit comes with all the materials and a full video tutorial, so you can make a functional woven purse even if you've never picked up a needle.
Do I need any experience to make a bag?
No. Our kits are made for complete beginners. The full video tutorial walks you through every stitch, from the first row to attaching the clasp.
What comes in a DIY bag kit?
The Daily Mini kit includes plastic canvas, t-shirt yarn in your color, a plastic needle, stitch markers, a metal clasp, two D-rings, a 47" metal chain strap and a step-by-step video tutorial. You'll also need scissors, a small screwdriver and a tape measure.
How long does it take to make?
Most people finish The Daily Mini in about 2 to 4 hours, depending on their pace. Many makers spread it over a cozy weekend.
Is a bag kit a good gift?
Yes. It's two gifts in one: a new hobby and a bag she'll carry. You can ship it straight to the recipient and add a gift note at checkout.
