When I bought my sewing machine in the winter of 2020, I thought it would simply be a creative way to pass the time during the pandemic. I started by making bandanas for my best friends, Mr. Opal (cat) and Marbles (dog), before moving on to more detailed pieces like pet collars and bowties. As my skills grew and my designs became more complex, I realized I had discovered a true passion — and that passion first bloomed into Craft Designs By Kenz. Today, that journey has evolved into Untamed Needle, a name that better reflects my untamed creativity and desire to explore beyond just one craft.

Hi, I’m MacKenzie, and I live in Columbia, South Carolina, with my built-in models, Mr. Opal and Marbles. What began as a small pet-focused shop has grown into a multi-passion creative studio, expanding into punch needle, embroidery, tufting, and handmade woven bags. While this isn’t my full-time job, it is a business I am deeply committed to growing — born from the desire to create high-quality, thoughtfully designed pieces that are both stylish and meaningful.
